People First priority for BJACH Behavioral Health Suicide Prevention Program

Behavioral health professionals from Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital conducted leadership development training with the 519th Military Police Battalion, Nov. 19 at the Joint Readiness Training Center and Fort Polk, Louisiana. The focus of the training was suicide prevention and the importance of leaders to know their people.

The American Red Cross, the United States Army Garrison and Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital signed memorandums of understanding at 8:30 a.m. ahead of the installation Veterans Day Ceremony, Nov. 10 at the Joint Readiness Training Center and Fort Polk, Louisiana.

BJACH’s newest OR Tech, Army’s newest citizen

Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital welcomes the Army’s newest American citizen to their operating room. Pfc. Savana Neves, operating room specialist, arrived at the Joint Readiness Training Center and Fort Polk, Louisiana on Oct. 25. On Oct. 29, she was interviewed and sworn in as a United States citizen in New Orleans.

BJACH hosts after school COVID-19 vaccine clinic for kids

Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital administered the Pfizer-BioNTech pediatric vaccine to children 5-11 years old Nov. 9 at the Joint Readiness Training Center and Fort Polk, Louisiana. BJACH coordinated the clinic after school hours, to avoid interference with student academics and filled every available appointment.

Soldiers assigned to Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital participated in a field training exercise called BJACH Forge Oct. 28-30 at the Joint Readiness Training Center and Fort Polk. The training was designed to optimize readiness by testing Soldiers on their warrior tasks and battle drills.
