BJACH invests in infrastructure, improves facilities, patient satisfaction

Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital formally opened the doors to the current facility in 1983. The hospital was named in honor of New Orleans native, Brigadier General Stanhope Bayne-Jones, the world acclaimed bacteriologist responsible for the control of typhus in Europe at the conclusion of World War II.

BJACH NCO tackles challenges, wins titles, achievements

Staff Sgt. Tabitha Moore, a combat medic from Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital Emergency Department, recently achieved three major milestones in her career. The junior noncommissioned officer won the BJACH NCO of the year competition, was selected as one of the Regional Health Command Central Best Junior NCOs, and earned her Expert Field Medical Badge in recent months.

BJACH celebrates Social Workers in March

“The Time is Right for Social Work” is the theme of Social Work Awareness Month 2022. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics social work is the fastest growing profession in the country with more than 720,000 social workers in the United States. At the Joint Readiness Training Center and Fort Polk social workers can be found at the hospital, Army Community Service and supporting military children in the local schools.

Physical Therapists from BJACH, 3rd BCT conduct skills fair for medics

The Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital rehabilitation department along with physical therapists from 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) conducted musculoskeletal exam, intervention and referral training March 8 and 9 for combat medics at the Joint Readiness Training Center and Fort Polk, Louisiana.
