BJACH launches school based behavioral health services in Vernon Parish

Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital is partnering with the Vernon Parish School board to provide school based behavioral health services to North Polk and Parkway Elementary Schools beginning next week for the upcoming school year. The program will increase access to behavioral health care for military children at the Joint Readiness Training Center and Fort Polk, Louisiana.

BJACH Ombudsman JRTC and Fort Polk Champion of NVGAG, fitness, life

The military ombudsman for Bayne-Jones Army Community hospital brought home eight medals for the Joint Readiness Training Center and Fort Polk, Louisiana at the 36th Annual National Veterans Golden Age Games. Kevin Stuart, retired command sergeant major and combat medic is a stellar example of fitness and resiliency for veterans of all ages.

BJACH Rehab Department welcomes Red Cross summer volunteer

Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital Rehabilitation Department welcomed a new American Red Cross volunteer this summer. Christina McDonald, a member of the Crimson Tide Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Battalion and a kinesiology major from the University of Alabama, spent two weeks shadowing the physical therapists at the Joint Readiness Training Center and Fort Polk, Louisiana.

BJACH hosts 355th AMSC annual training

The Joint Readiness Training Center is a force readiness platform and crucible combat training center for the Army. But Operations Group isn’t the only unit to get in on the training action at Fort Polk. Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital is a designated training facility currently hosting U.S. Army Nurse Corps Cadet clinical rotations, special operations medical personnel and the 355th Area Support Medical Company from Bossier City, Louisiana.
